OUR MISSION
Welcome to Board Ready!
Board Ready was created with one goal in mind: to help cosmetology and barber graduates walk into their Missouri State Board practical exam feeling confident and prepared.
We understand how nerve-racking the practical exam can be. After spending hours in school learning your skills, the last thing you need is to feel unsure about what to expect on exam day. That is where Board Ready comes in.
Our live virtual practical exam prep course gives students the opportunity to review the exam step-by-step in a structured and supportive environment. We cover proper timing, sanitation, procedures, and the hands-on skills you will need to demonstrate. Students will also complete a mock board exam with instructor feedback to help identify areas that may need additional practice before the real exam.
Board Ready is not just for recent graduates. Our program is also available to licensed professionals coming to Missouri from another state who need to prepare for Missouri licensing requirements and the practical examination.
At Board Ready, we believe preparation builds confidence. Our goal is to take some of the uncertainty and stress out of the process so you can focus on what you already know and do best.
You have put in the work. Now let us get you Board Ready!

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I'm Courtney. I have been in the beauty industry for 25 years. I am a licensed cosmetologist and barber and have my instructors license in both.
After being behind the chair and teaching in local colleges it became clear that students need more focus on just State Board procedures. I recognized the fact that instructors are busy and to put aside time for just prep is nearly impossible. So, I created Board Ready. It was created for you, the recent grad who still feels a bit unsure on what to expect.
I want you to go in prepared and confident. I want you to go in BOARD READY!
A QUICK DISCLAIMER BECAUSE THEY MAKE ME SAY IT. BOARD READY IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE MISSOURI STATE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY AND BARBERING DIVISION! THIS COURSE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PASSING GRADE. HOWEVER, BR DOES FOLLOW THE EXACT STEPS THAT WILL BE TAKEN THE DAY OF YOUR EXAM!
We are so confident that you will pass on the first try of the practical portion that if you do not you may re-enroll for free in another prep class, on us!!
